Collecting 49 goals while playing for the Rangers in 2022, Wilson’s multi-talented abilities were earmarked for even greater things. At his current height of 183cm, Scottish forward, Rory Wilson, has the right skills for impressive performances with Villa on the Premier League field.
Owen Bevan: The Bournemouth Prodigy
Beginning his football journey at Bournemouth’s academy at age nine, Welsh-born, Bevan, has risen from strength to strength as a gifted centre-back. He started his Premier League journey at Anfield against Liverpool in August 2022. An untimely foot injury threw him a curveball, affecting his availability for the start of the season.
Amario Cozier-Duberry: The Worthy Winger
After saying no to re-signing with Arsenal, Cozier-Duberry signed up with Brighton & Hove Albion at just 19 years old. He didn’t waste time settling in and landed two goals in his first match, mirroring the unique footwork of Bukayo Saka, cutting in from the right to aim for the goal with his left foot.
Romeo Lavia: The Magic Midfielder
After a previous season plagued with injury, his coach, Enzo Maresca, hopes for a more positive experience for Lavia this time around. His noteworthy technical performance during the US pre-season tour can’t be overlooked. Lavia is sure to go from strength to strength in the 2024-25 season.
Matheus Franca: Brazilian Brilliance
The last part of his previous season was dogged by injuries for Franca. This didn’t dampen his spirit. He pushed through to show off his top-notch abilities. This positive attitude resulted in a well-deserved ‘Man-of-the-Match’ title in the FA Cup game against Everton. His impressive footwork helped his team find glory at Manchester City.
Youssef Chermiti: Portuguese Precision
The 20-year-old’s foot injury during training didn’t prove too much of an obstacle during pre-season games. He racked up two goals in the game against Sligo Rovers. Although his injury may delay his appearance for this 2024-2025 season, he has been earmarked to show his skills once he’s been given the medical ‘all clear’.
Jay Stansfield: The Skillful Striker
Twenty-one-year-old Stansfield brings some much-needed youthful talent to the Fulham squad. This agile striker is known for his dedication to the game, demonstrating a magnetic approach to the goalbox! According to Marco Silva, Stansfield is tagged to be one of the three forwards this season. His football future looks very bright having already claimed multiple awards.
Trey Nyoni: The Magnetic Midfielder
Nyoni is making his debut with the Liverpool first team. At just 16 years old, his inexperience can’t be overlooked. He is definitely not lacking in sporting prowess. His calm and collected demeanour on the field might be the key to his sporting success.
Harry Amass: The United Hopeful
Left-back Amass had outstanding performances in the under-18 team for 2023 – 2024. He managed to achieve four assists in 22 matches. He uses his impressive height of 1.73m to his advantage. He often shows off his knack for overlapping and underlapping. Look out for his signature move of inverting from left-back into midfield.
Zach Abbott: The Dynamic Defender
Debuting in August 2022 as a Nottingham Forest defender, Abbott was the second-youngest player to star in the EFL Cup team. He appeared early on the scene, playing consistently for England from the age of 16. Abbott could teach his older teammates a thing or two about ball possession and maintaining focus.
Mikey Moore: The World-Class Winger
Landing a three-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur, Mikey Moore is a winger to watch. The final games of last season saw Moore claiming goals and assists when substituting for two Premier League games in May. Although still quite young, 17-year-old Moore has much potential and could achieve great things with attentive guidance.
George Earthy: The Award-Winner
With 13 years of dedicated gameplay at West Ham United’s academy, Midfielder George Earthy is sure to make a name for himself. His outstanding performance against Luton Town was impressive enough to earn him the Mark Noble Young Hammer of the Year award. Always on the attack, Earthy is just scratching the surface of what he’s capable of achieving.
