Conference Keynote: Sol Wolfers, Challenging the status quo – the positioning of female researchers in the footballing world

The Football Collective is committed to the future of football research and scholarship and we are delighted to formally introduce the conference opening keynote panel ‘Challenging the status quo – the positioning of female researchers in the footballing world’ by Sol Wolfers. The session will be the opening keynote and part of the  ‘Challenging the Narrative’ – Critical thinking in football conference at Hampden in Glasgow on the 29th and 30th November 2018.

Sol Wolfers is a PhD Candidate (2nd year) at the Centre for Applied Linguistics

(University of Warwick). Sol’s keynote will provide critical reflections inline with the conference theme ‘Challenging the Narrative’ – Critical thinking in football, alongside discussing her  own experiences of doing gendered research in professional football.
