Dr Sara Ward and Dr Dan Parnell of Manchester Metropolitan University are set to host a football research seminar. The seminar is part of the evening programme for the unique Master in Sport Directorship course. The Business and Governance of Football Seminar will showcase four high quality research presentations that seek to offer students and guests an insight into research methods and how their findings have implications for the industry.

The guests speakers are Dr Geoff Pearson (The University of Manchester), Elisavet Argyro Manoli (Loughborough University), Dr Dave Webber (Warwick University) and Dr Jimmy O’Gorman (Edgehill University). All of the guest speakers are members of The Football Collective.

Sara and Dan would like to extend the invite to this event to members of the football collective, in particular those who are researching the business and governance of football. They hope that by bringing together their students, high quality guest speakers and football researchers, this will not only create a high quality event full of critical debate, but also help their students, speakers and guests continue the discussion post-event, developing greater understanding for their students and for all to establish positive research networks.
